Every so often, a friend asks me where to go for a truly good spa day in Washington, and these days I have three answers instead of one. This is my personal guide to the three DC spa experiences I rate most highly: the Spa at the Four Seasons Georgetown, The Ritz-Carlton Spa in Georgetown, and the Salamander Spa on the Southwest Waterfront. Each one has its own personality, and each has a full guide of its own below. Consider this the starting point for planning your next self-care day.

02

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Georgetown

This is the intimate, hidden oasis of the group: just five treatment rooms tucked into one of the city's most charming corners. The exclusive ESPA line is curated specifically for this spa, which makes every appointment feel personal rather than templated.

03

The Salamander Spa at Salamander Washington DC

The newest of the three, this two-level sanctuary on the revitalized Southwest Waterfront opened with 14 treatment rooms and a relaxation tea lounge that overlooks the Potomac. It is the largest of the three, and the view alone is worth the visit.

One line to remember: the best self-care days are the ones you actually schedule, and in DC you are spoiled for choice. I share these guides because the best local knowledge is the kind you can actually use. And if you are looking at homes in DC, Maryland, Virginia, or Florida, I would love to be that kind of resource for you too. Reach out anytime and tell me where you are in your search.
